- Abstract:
- In view of Marx’s and Rousseau’s different cognitions of political philosophy relationship, this paper makes a comparative study of their political thought relationship by the analysis of human’s double identity of “civilian” and “citizen” and the problem of freedom. It tries to reveal the theoretical source of Marx’s political philosophy from their similarities and discuss its theoretical innovation from their differences: Marx critically absorbs the rich connotation of Rousseau’s political thought, makes a fundamental theoretical transcendence, and sets up a new type of political philosophy.
