Abstract:
Confucius founded the Chinese unique private education paradigm, whose main content is: to provide education for all people without discrimination and to run a school independently; to treasure harmonious relations and to honor teachers and esteem truth; to spread knowledge step by step and from inside to outside; to pass on knowledge from generation to generation. Confucian teaching mode is heuristic, and to teach students in accordance with their aptitude. His learning method is exploratory, that is, selfregulated learning. His teaching contents are “six arts”, which is the essence of the culture in Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties. This private paradigm profoundly affected the ancient Chinese educational system, and effectively spread the Chinese excellent culture.
