Abstract:
Constructing an international cultural city, has become a notable issue in Xi’an culture construction in recent years; in the history of Chinese Buddhism, Xi’an, always being the center of Chinese Buddhist studies and spreading, occupies an important position; there are numerous Buddhist temples in Xi’an, which is not only a place of strategic importance in urban Buddhist culture construction, but also has an extensive social influence on contemporary Chinese Buddhism culture construction; the problem how to play the roles of these temples in the urban culture construction, and form a harmonious relationship of mutual promotion and joint development between Buddhist culture and contemporary urban culture construction, has a certain ideological value in promoting social progress.
