Abstract:
In order to study the role of psychology in ideological and political education in colleges and universities, through a brief combing of existing literature, we take the application of psychology in ideological and political education in colleges and universities as the theme and discuss the application of psychology in education, based on the concepts and basic principles of psychology, combined with practical cases. We analyze the practical experience and challenges faced by psychology in ideological and political education in colleges and universities, summarize the specific methods and techniques of applying psychology in ideological and political education in colleges and universities, and discuss the importance of combining psychological theory and practice for practical work.The study concluded that through understanding the relationship between cognition, emotion and behavior, and using effective communication skills such as listening and clarification, we can understand the crux of the problem and find a solution to the student’s psychological problems.The application of psychology in ideological and political education in colleges and universities needs the improvement of the training and participation of psychology professionals, utilization of professional training, interactive exchanges, diversified activities and a sound evaluation mechanism, so that the effectiveness and pertinence of psychology education might be further improved, and the promotion and application of psychology in ideological and political education in colleges and universities might be strengthened.
