Abstract:: New media is gradually permeating and changing people’s life habits, such as the habits of getting information and reading, by means of digital technology and Internet. The traditional paper-based periodicals are facing great challenges in the new media age and the digital transformation is inevitable for Chinese academic journals. This paper, based on the contradictory relation of the integrated development of the new media and traditional academic journals, analyzed the internal factors and external environment influencing the digital development and transformation of academic journals. Besides, the logical frame of the digital development of academic journals was built and perfected and the suitable recommended pathway and promoting measures for Chinese academic journals were put forward based on the analysis results.
