- Abstract:
- This paper studies the core and essence of Chinese excellent traditional culture based on the investigation of chinization course of Buddhism. The results show that, influenced by Chinese intrinsic humanist rationality, Buddhism culture became localized and promoted the deep expansion of Chinese traditional culture into Xinxing philosophy. This course experienced four stages, including early Tang Dynasty, late Five Dynasties and early Song Dynasty, late Ming Dynasty, and early Republic of China. The essence of Chinese culture in these 4 stages are mainly presented as the expanding of human rationality and the deepening of Xinxing philosophy.
