Abstract:: To get rid of Confucian ideology, and understand the crucial concept of “content” proposed by CHEN Xianzhang more objectively, refering to the thoughts and sights of Althusser on ideology, key words including “experience”, “critical thinking”, and “content” were analyzed through the comparison of the eastern and western epistemologies. The results show that “experience” refers to the personal life experience which is explained and shaped by the confucian ideology; “critical thinking” summons individual to get rid of books and gain the identity similar with confucian thougts; while “content” symbolizes the birth of subject with Confucian ideology which takes self as the independent source of Confucian value and freely submits to the reallife order.
