摘要:
运用历史回顾的方法分析美国当代流行文化。分析认为,分析美国当代流行文化,必须将其置于产生这种文化意识的历史背景、社会环境和人文观念的框架下进行; 依据法兰克福学派关于流行文化批判的立场,主张流行文化的产生和兴起是工业、都市、大众消费时代的文化意识的崛起; 对法兰克福学派的大众文化批判学说进行了必要的补充。
Abstract:
The study analyzes modern American popular culture by reviewing its history. The analysis indicates that the American popular culture must be analyzed under its historical background, social context and the humanistic ideology. Based on the Frankfurt school's critical stance on popular culture, this study proposes that the emergence and further development of a popular culture is in nature the rise of a cultural ideology in industry, metropolis, or an era of mass consumption. The study also makes some necessary supplement for Frankfurt school's mass culture critical theory.
