摘要:
分析了西方文明传统中的“双希”因素及其与西方文明发展之间的渊源关系。分析认为:研究西方文明的历史必须追溯其根脉,探究西方文明演化过程应始于对希伯来文明与希腊文明两者之间的比较研究; 希伯来精神代表了西方文明传统中的宗教渊源,而希腊精神展示了西方文明传统中人文主义的基础; 将“双希文明”互动关系的进程置于历史演变和文明交替的宏观框架中,以哲学思维的视野对其进行观照才能深入勾画出西方文明发展的本质。
Abstract:
A careful study of western civilization must begin with finding its origin in order to clarify the influence of Hebrew and Hellenistic upon wesetern civilization so as to reach a conclusion that a further study of western civilization should be based upon the comprehensive understanding of these two influential elements. It is a topic of immense significance to explore how these two traditions have evolved and converged into the foundation of western civilization. No better understanding of western civilization can be achieved as for the nature of human civilization without putting the interactive relations between Hebrew and Hellenistic spirits into a progressive process of history evolution from a philosophical perspective.
