Abstract:
In order to study FENG Qi’s exploration of truth, benevolence and beauty of heart in the Chinese culture, this paper discussed it from the perspectives of philosophical core issues and philosophical attitude, the truth in Chinese philosophical history and understanding of the ideal of life, goodness and moral ideal, and beauty and aesthetic ideal. The results show that Feng has long-term research and considerable achievements in Marxist philosophy and Chinese philosophy history. However, it seems that the history of the origins of Confucian philosophy lacks the professional exploration of philosophy experts and special topics.FENG Qi believes that the revolutionary process of Chinese modern philosophy can be understood as self-proclamation that the Chinese people’s revolutionary world outlook from the nature to the conscious and the ease to activeness, which is prominently manifested in the concept of the social ideal mentioned. The ideal of life, whether it is personal ideal or social ideal, must be practiced through people’s social life and behavior. To study the freedom of actors in their relations with one another, we must deal with the problems of good and of morality. The practice of moral ideal should be through the cultivation of individual moral quality and the construction of a reasonable social ethical standard.Social ethical norms and individual moral have possibility of integrity, but also have their own distinctions.FENG Qi’s understanding of “aesthetics” combined with German philosopher Kant and Russian scholar Plekhanov.Kant emphasized that beauty is the pleasure of freedom, meaning that the aesthetic experience transcends the calculation of the relations of interest, which is purely appreciation judgments of nothing.
