Abstract:
Tourist flow has always been one of the core issues of tourism geography. This paper takes the urban cluster of Changsha,Zhuzhou and Xiangtan as the research object,and uses GIS spatial analysis and network analysis to analyze the tourist flow of urban agglomerations based on highways,ordinary railways and high-speed railway train stations as well as related spatial evolutional characteristics of spatial structure. The research shows that: during the study period, the traffic accessibility of the urban area of Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan has been continuously improved, and the spatial distribution has a pattern of high-east and low-west. The accessibility of the highway has a distinction between the core area and peripheral area. There is a strong coupling between the increase in the total amount of tourist flow in urban agglomerations and the improvement in the accessibility of different modes of transportation. During the period of 2005~2017,the spatial pattern of tourist flow intensity in the Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan urban agglomeration based on different modes of transportation was relatively small,and the intensity of tourist flow in the eastern part of the urban agglomeration was relatively high. Changsha was the core area of tourist flow gathering,with Yueyang, Zhuzhou and Hengyang as the sub-core zones,forming an axis of strong tourist flow along the Beijing-Guangzhou line. The contact pattern of tourist flows in some areas is obviously changed. The distribution pattern of tourist flow links is more compatible with the spatial pattern of railway accessibility,while much less compatible with the road. The compact area of tourist flow is comparatively more consistent with the most accessible railway lines.
