Abstract:: The sense of community for Chinese nation is the consciousness for the Chinese national community. It embodies the selfrecognition with Chinese nation, Chinese culture and the country. To study the sense of community for Chinese nation and its historical basis, this paper analyzes from localization of alien nationality theories, as well as communication and integration of different nationalities within China. It recognizes Chinese culture, the country and the Chinese nation and opposes the separation within the nation or the community culture. History of Chinese nation, Chinese civilization and the country are the historical basis for the sense. The sense of community for Chinese nation is the nationalized manifestation of humanity, the upgraded version of national consciousness, the Chinese version of the proletariats’ Socialist consciousness. It transcends the various nationalism centered with egoism in history. It is closely linked to the sense of community of mankind and is a sense of national community in the stage of socialism with Chinese characteristics. In this sense, every ethnic group is equal, and has the right to live and develop, and should get along well with other ethnic groups to work together and develop together. 
