Abstract:: This paper discusses the present situation of rural education in China. The universalization level, the quality, the guarantee level and the modernization level of the rural education are gradually promoted. But obviously it can not meet the requirements of the new urbanization of urban-rural integration. Following the exploration of the existing problems of rural education during the process of the new-type urbanization, some development strategies are put forward， to increase the funding of rural education, to improve the rural education structure, to properly handle the education of the children of floating population, to appropriately solve the problems in the layout adjustment of rural primary schools, and to strengthen the construction of faculty in rural education.
