Abstract:
This paper attempts to define the Chang’an image in literature and culture, as a common cultural symbol in the circle of East Asian Chinese characters civilization. Through researching the Changan image of Chinese poetry appeared in Korean Peninsula, the paper makes it clear that “Chang‘an” representing the country’s capital in Korean-Chinese poetry started in the middle of Koryo. Meanwhile, this research revealed the process of Korean-Chinese poetry accepting the Chang‘an image, and such a kind of reception is profoundly related to Koryo’s inheritance of the “Chinese consciousness” in Tang and Song dynasties.
