Abstract:
Mourning and Full Dress Charts(volume Pel.chin.2967 in France)in Dunhuang western literature is an illustration manuscript. The illustration manuscript described every kind of mourning from the name,style, texture, size and other aspects with detailed rules and sketch. The mourning and full dress were specified in detail, which played a role to popularize the difficult system of mourning apparel plays a role. The article takes “funeral pictures” as analytic objects, interpreting the Tang Dynasty mourning, mourning graphic recording before and after the era being. So we can understand the Tang Dynasty cultural characteristics. At the same time,it provides new clue and way for the future research of “Sanli”.
