Abstract:
In order to make an exploration of the relationship between Jurchen culture and Chinese culture, and of the relationship between Jurchen-Chinesized and Jin dynasty' extinction, the paper conducts analysis for the background, causes and manifestations of the cultural conflicts between Jurchen culture and Chinese culture in the time of JIN Shi-zong with the combination of historical literatures with predecessors's ideas about the relationship between Jurchen-Chinesized and Jin dynasty' extinction.The analysis showes that when Jurchen culture went to death, JIN Shi-zong energetically sought for conjunction point of two cultures on the ground of preserving self-consciousness of Jurchen culture. He set up Jur-chen writings and initiated Jinshi scholars of Jurchen, translated Chinese Confucianism into Jurchen linguistic writing. However, all those measures taken could not stop the Jurchen-Chinesized trend, and cultural renaissance of Jurchen failed. But all the efforts made by JIN Shi-zong to preserve national culture and maintain national tradition should be given a great compliment.
