Abstract:
The Muslim uprising took place in Shaanxi and Gansu in Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. After the war, the economic situation of Gansu regions were directly related with the ruling power of Qing government and populous quality of life, and seriously affected social development. The present study focuses the post road in Shaanxi, Gansu and Xinjiang, and reviews the fort vicissitude, people's life and military construction.The analysis shows that the Muslim uprising in Tongzhi period has brought new development of economy and social atmosphere along Shaanxi, Gansu and Xinjiang, although it might result in the economic damage and population decrease in Gansu at that time.
