Abstract:
This paper, based on documental analysis method, evaluates the reasons of magazine's beginning, management style and the historical values for the semimonthly magazine Xinyu from the views of the modes in which intellectuals considered to be national and political. This study demonstrates that the magazine manifested the national consciousness of intellectuals to a certain extent, and that the magazine influenced the society at that time in a large degree.
