With Chinese accession to WTO,Chinese commercial banks face a huge threat from foreign
commercial banks with universal banking.In order to deal with the impact,in the future, our country
should also carry out universal banking. But now, according to the present situation, our commercial
banks do not still possess demand and supply factor of institutional change from limited banking to
universal banking. To improve competition ability, we can only make the present situation of
commercial banks get better conditions in the framework of slow style reform and carry out universal
banking after conditions permit.
