Abstract:
To explore the deeper reasons behind the box office success of Ne Zha 2, this paper analyzes the phenomenon through the lens of ticket sales data and film audience. The findings reveal that the film's commercial success results from a combination of factors, including China's economy, the cinema infrastructure, and the stratification of audience demographics. The director constructs a mechanism of audience identification based on the underlying logic of “chains”, eliciting emotional resonance among contemporary viewers. Meanwhile, the producer's marketing strategies endowed the film with the quality of “social currency”, aligning with modern aesthetic preferences and fostering a strong connection with today's audiences. The film also employs digital technologies to establish a new production paradigm for contemporary Chinese animated films, offering a fresh direction for interaction and dialogue between the film industry and its audiences. The research shows that Chinese films should pay greater attention to real life, relying on digital technology transformation and upgrading; incorporating “Chinese elements”, thereby enhancing its national characteristics and global appeal.
