In order to analyze the path of China leaping from a trader of quantity to a trader of quality, this paper takes the domestic cycle of expanding domestic demand as the research subject and the new development pattern of expanding high-level opening-up to the outside world as the main focus, and studies the strategic role of foreign trade in promoting the benign interaction between domestic and international economic circulation. The research suggests that China should seize the key period of the 14th Five-Year Plan to further promote industrialization and develop advanced manufacturing such as digitalization and "intelligent+"; use policies to guide the transformation and development of the service sector, explore the unique advantages of digital trade, and expand and strengthen the export of trade in service; continue to expand the coverage of China's free trade area network and strive for greater trade facilitation and development space through integrating domestic policies with international economic and trade rules; continue to accelerate the reform of the socialist market economic system, improve the efficiency of resource allocation, and cultivate Chinese corporate brands in advanced manufacturing and modern service industries; timely expand the scale of imports, attach importance to imports of capital goods, consumer goods and services, and give full play to the linkage effect of imports on all links of dual circulation.
