- Abstract:
- In order to facilitate China’s investment in the United Arab Emirates(UAE), jointly build the "Belt and Road" initiative and promote the continuous growth of the Sino Arab friendly relations, this study analyzes the current situation of China and the UAE in the field of investment in detail, explores possible investment cooperation opportunities in the future from the perspective of industrial cooperation between the two countries, and analyzes the political risks, economic risks and security risks in the investment by Chinese enterprises in the UAE. It is found that for Chinese enterprises, UAE has great investment opportunities in the energy industry, communication industry, clothing and textile industry, automobile industry, building materials industry and other fields. Chinese enterprises should follow the UAE’s national development strategies closely, increase investment cooperation in the nonoil and gas industries, actively carry out brand marketing, enhance the market competitiveness of enterprises, and pay attention to collaboration. In terms of investment risks, the UAE has a stable political power, stable society and low political risks; in terms of economic risks, however, the UAE’s economy is characterized by obvious outward orientation, strong external dependence and vulnerability to external risks; in terms of security risks, the UAE’s domestic security risks are relatively low, but it faces huge regional security pressures and terrorist threats, which all require the attention from Chinese enterprises.
