- Abstract:
- This article analyzed if there is any place as the symbols of starting point of Silk Road in Chang’an by use of document analysis method. The analyzing results show that Daming Palace, West Market and Kaiyuan Gate ought to be the three symbols of of Chang’an as the starting point of Silk Road. Daming Palace is the political center and starting point of Silk Road in Tang Dynasty, West Market is the economic and trade center and starting point of Silk Road in Tang Dynasty, and Kaiyuan Gate, located in the west of Chang’an, is the starting point of Silk Road journey.
