- With the opening of the Tongxi section of the west section of Longhai railway, railway has become an important transportation trache connecting Shaanxi and some metroplis in East China. The authorities of Longhai railway actively investigated and propagated tourism resources along the railway and took various measures to facilitate tourism. At the same time, they also made full use of the influence which was exerted by some famous people during the period of Republic of China on the places of interests along Longhai railway to promote those scenic spots. And all of these have made the modern tourism of Shaanxi, led by the railway, germinated and developed.
