- Abstract:
- The tianxia ideas of pre-Qin philosophers contain a strong flavor of tolerance. Confucianists emphasize morality and advocate courtesy and tolerance to all people; Taoists regard that all people are originated from one, and that all thing in the world should grow freely. Mohists and Legalists think that rules should be used to maintain the steadiness of social order, thus tolerance among people will be promoted. These ideas form the outstanding Chinese tradition stretching so far, promoting the booming and development of the Chinese nation.
