- Abstract:
- By taking the masterpiece DAI Deng as a sample, this paper aims to analyze varied social issues, as well as the characters and destinies of different kinds of people in the process of modernization of the countryside. The analysis shows that what DAI Deng has done, who is the director of comprehensive management office in Ying town, presents the original townscape of modernization of the countryside and various contradictions in its process. It also expounds the feature of “speaking” of JIA Pingwas novel intensively. The invasion of modern civilization also provokes the selfish desires of peasants. All kinds of problems are revealed in the period of countrysides transformation, and the sufferings are also exposed in the process of modernization of the countryside.
