Abstract:: The core of Roger Bacon’s four obstacles saying is humanity, and it expounds the various obstacles for appearance of wrong ideas from four aspects. These barriers invisibly block the road which leads people to the palace of truth. At the present age as information and news spreading quickly, news journalists and the audiences play an important role in modern society for prosperity and stability. Therefore cultivating and strengthening the contemporary journalists and the audiences citizen consciousness is of great significance. Based on the various performance of the journalists and audiences lacking citizen consciousness in the new period, it puts forward the corresponding construction path: to reproduce news facts; to eliminate the dross in traditional concept and absorb its essence, to keep pace with the times; to improve the identification ability reasonably; and to report news facts fairly and objectively.
