- Abstract:
- This paper attempts to define the Chang’an image in literature and culture, as a common cultural symbol in the circle of East Asian Chinese characters civilization. Through researching the Changan image of Chinese poetry appeared in Korean Peninsula, the paper makes it clear that “Chang‘an” representing the country’s capital in Korean-Chinese poetry started in the middle of Koryo. Meanwhile, this research revealed the process of Korean-Chinese poetry accepting the Chang‘an image, and such a kind of reception is profoundly related to Koryo’s inheritance of the “Chinese consciousness” in Tang and Song dynasties.
