Abstract:
As a kind of special cultural phenomenon, rock adoration phenomenon spread all over the social and culturd life realm in ancient Shu Country's people. According to the preserved ancient documents and the unearthed relics and the materials of folk custom, the author finds that the back of the extensive adoration phenomenon conceals deeply cultural contents, which means that the thought of Shu Country's people had their common cognition. The rock has the function of breeding, exorcising and praying happiness. It has actual effect on existence of tribe, and itis also the necessary returning place for ghosts. Because of these, the people of Shu Country devoutly worship rock and hope to acquire lots of beneficial effects.
