- Abstract:
- To elaborate the main characteristics of Elias historical sociology, this paper analyzed the core issue of Elias historical sociology, namely, the civilization process and its civilization theory. The results show that Elias civilization theory claims that social civilization is not only a process but depends on interrelated and mutuallypromoted personality structure changes and social structure changes; the different connotations and social origins of culture and civilization in Britain, France, and German reflect that they are the products of relation structure among different social powers in certain historical periods and social patterns; the changes of individual behavior pattern also experience 3 stages, including daily behavior civilization, daily behavior civilization hiding in personal life, and social behavior civilization.
